What does the programming at The Hub look like?
-
Community Connections
Community connections involves connecting with local businesses and other local non-profits in a consistent, reoccurring, and purposeful way.
The founding principle of The Hub revolves around the concept of giving back and “doing good.” Our location provides us with the chance to volunteer while simultaneously developing vocational skills.
We are committed to providing opportunities to build vocational skills, whether our members aspire to pursue employment or not. Working consistently with local businesses and non-profits gives our individuals a unique opportunity to engage with the community, grow skills, and build relationships.
-
Independent & Daily Living
The Hub is dedicated to enhancing independent and daily living skills on a daily basis—this is the core of our program. Whether it's mastering transactions at a coffee shop through methods like credit card usage or the dollar-up technique, or improving communication skills like calling home, we focus on developing the essential skills our members need.
-
Social/Emotional Skills
At The Hub, we emphasize the significance of fostering social skills and prioritizing mental and emotional well-being. Every day, we dedicate time to enhance our social and emotional skills, both within our Hub House and throughout the local community.
How do we make the most of our week?
We pride ourselves on a program that provides consistency, structure, engagement and FUN!
